Supply depot
A supply depot for North-Western Province, put there because Solwezi is where the newer copper developments are and the Copperbelt is a long way behind you.

North-Western Province and the new-mine developments around Solwezi
Nearby: Kalumbila, Lumwana, Mwinilunga, Kasempa, Chingola
Solwezi is the smallest of the four sites and the most specific. It exists for one reason: the mines around Kalumbila, Lumwana and Solwezi itself are several hours from Kitwe, and consumable supply that depends on that drive is consumable supply that fails at the wrong moment. The depot holds and forwards the lines that cannot wait.
The requirement here is consumable and PPE-led rather than equipment-led. Welding consumables for maintenance and fabrication, abrasives, gas cutting equipment, tooling, and PPE in the quantities a mine and its contractors get through. Anything larger — tyre handling, attachments, plant — is quoted through Kitwe and Nelspruit and delivered in.
Mwinilunga, Kasempa and the western side of Chingola are reached from here as well. Where a requirement is on a shutdown scope, the quantities are set against the scope and confirmed in writing before it starts, because North-Western Province is not somewhere a shortfall can be corrected the same afternoon.
Consumables come back with pricing, availability and lead time. Equipment comes back with the model, the carriage class and a price.
