Rotators
Continuous 360° inverting and dumping
This extremely useful attachment allows you to rotate the forks 360° in a revolving motion, safely and efficiently when moving loads. Best used for inverting and dumping loads, it helps to improve productivity and greatly limit downtime.
A rotator turns the whole carriage — and whatever is on it — through a continuous 360° in either direction. Loads are inverted, decanted or dumped in one movement and the forks come back level without the operator having to reposition the truck or set the load down.
The attachment replaces manual decanting in food processing, waste handling and foundry work. Fork-mounted rotators suit occasional inverting duty on an existing truck, while integrated carriage units are built for high-cycle work where the truck does nothing else. Both can be combined with a clamp or a bin attachment so the rotation happens under load rather than after it.
Also known as: Rotating carriage · Forklift tipper · Barrel and bin rotator
Benefits
- Quickly inverts a load and returns forks to the upright position in one continuous motion
- Reduces manual decanting and double handling
- Available in fork-mounted and integrated carriage configurations
Where it is used
- Tipping bins and containers into hoppers, chutes and process lines
- Inverting loads to recover a damaged pallet from the bottom of a stack
- Dumping swarf, offcuts, waste and bulk product in one cycle
- Food and beverage decanting where double handling is the bottleneck

Capacities, jaw ranges and rotation are model-specific — the exact figures are confirmed against your truck and load when we quote.
Fits ISO Class II, III and IV fork carriages
In service on Toyota, Linde, Hyster, Jungheinrich, TCM, Manitou, JCB, Feeler, Yale and Komatsu trucks across the region.
- Hydraulic attachments run off the truck’s auxiliary services; where a truck has too few, an additional service or a solenoid selector can be fitted.
- Mechanical attachments slip over standard fork arms and need no hydraulic connection at all.
- Fitting an attachment changes the truck’s rated capacity, so the derated capacity plate is confirmed as part of the quote.
South Africa & Zambia
Attachments are supplied from Nelspruit for South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho, and through the Kitwe branch for Zambia, the Copperbelt and the southern DRC corridor.
- South Africa — head office, warehouse and service in Nelspruit, with stockholding in Johannesburg
- Zambia — branch office and warehouse in Kitwe, plus a supply depot in Solwezi
- Cross-border freight and documentation arranged per consignment where the destination requires it
Rotators — questions
- 01What is a forklift rotator used for?
- Inverting and dumping loads — tipping bins into a hopper, emptying containers, or turning a pallet over to swap it. It rotates continuously through 360° in both directions, so the forks always return level.
- 02Is a rotator the same as a bin tipper?
- No. A bin tipper is built specifically around handling and dumping bins at a fixed geometry. A rotator turns the entire carriage and is more general purpose. We supply both and will say which suits the duty.
- 03Can a rotator be fitted with a clamp?
- Yes. Rotators are commonly combined with clamp arms or bin attachments so the load stays held through the rotation rather than relying on the forks.
