Paper Roll Clamps
Damage-free roll handling at 180° or 360°
Paper roll attachments enable you to increase productivity in your paper handling operations, whilst leaving your roll damage free. Designed with maximum efficiency in mind, these attachments are commonly used in the paper and printing handling industry and are suitable for different types of machines.
A paper roll clamp grips a roll around its circumference with two contoured arms and lifts it without a pallet. Non-rotating units handle rolls standing on end; 180° and 360° rotating units pick a roll off the floor on its side and stand it upright, or lay it down to feed a press.
Roll handling is judged on damage rather than throughput. A crushed edge or a dented core is scrap, and scrap in a paper plant is measured in tonnes. Arm geometry, contact pressure and controlled clamping are what protect the product, which is why the range includes damage-reduction options and pressure control rather than treating a clamp as a pair of steel arms.

Capacities, jaw ranges and rotation are model-specific — the exact figures are confirmed against your truck and load when we quote.
Fits ISO Class II, III and IV fork carriages
In service on Toyota, Linde, Hyster, Jungheinrich, TCM, Manitou, JCB, Feeler, Yale and Komatsu trucks across the region.
- Hydraulic attachments run off the truck’s auxiliary services; where a truck has too few, an additional service or a solenoid selector can be fitted.
- Mechanical attachments slip over standard fork arms and need no hydraulic connection at all.
- Fitting an attachment changes the truck’s rated capacity, so the derated capacity plate is confirmed as part of the quote.
South Africa & Zambia
Attachments are supplied from Nelspruit for South Africa, Botswana, Namibia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique, Eswatini and Lesotho, and through the Kitwe branch for Zambia, the Copperbelt and the southern DRC corridor.
- South Africa — head office, warehouse and service in Nelspruit, with stockholding in Johannesburg
- Zambia — branch office and warehouse in Kitwe, plus a supply depot in Solwezi
- Cross-border freight and documentation arranged per consignment where the destination requires it
Paper Roll Clamps — questions
- 01How is a paper roll clamp selected?
- By the smallest and largest roll diameter, the roll weight, and whether rolls need to be rotated. Those three figures set the arm size, the clamping force and whether a 180° or 360° rotating unit is required.
- 02Can a roll clamp handle rolls of different diameters?
- Yes, within the arm opening range specified for the unit. We size the arms around the diameter spread you actually handle rather than a single nominal roll.
- 03Will a clamp damage the roll?
- Correctly specified, no. Arm contour, contact area and controlled clamping pressure keep the load secure without crushing the outer wraps; damage-reduction systems are available where the product is particularly sensitive.
- 04Does the clamp need to come off to handle pallets?
- A dedicated roll clamp replaces the forks, so a truck fitted with one is a roll-handling truck. Fleets that need both usually run a dedicated clamp truck alongside a fork truck rather than swapping attachments through the shift.
